Second Pilgrimage

This past Sept.-October, 2019, I returned to Near Sawrey in England’s Lake District to continue the photography project I started there in fall of 2016. I’m very happy to say that the resulting series, comprised of images from each trip, is now on my website and can be seen here. It will also be presented in other formats, but this is the first one.

A Thank You

I’d like to give many thanks to the hosts of the B&B where I stayed during both trips, Belle Green Bed and Breakfast in Near Sawrey. Ann and Steve Crabtree are exceptional hosts; welcoming, friendly, hospitable, great ‘problem’-solvers, reservoirs of knowledge about the area, and in general provided the graciousness that made my trip successful. I can’t imagine the trip, my feelings about it and the series itself being what it is without them.

One morning I talked with Ann Crabtree about the late blooming climbing roses outside the B&B.
I came back from the day’s venturing to find this beautiful one in my room.
